ARSENAL
Santi Cazorla came on after 26 minutes in Spain’s 2-0 win over England, scoring his side’s second with six minutes remaining. Spain were due to play again in a friendly against Belgium on Tuesday, but the match was cancelled due to security threats.
Alexis Sanchez played both Chile’s World Cup qualifiers as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Colombia last Thursday and, despite worries over a calf injury, he played 90 minutes in a 3-0 defeat to Uruguay on Tuesday.
Joel Campbell played 73 minutes as Costa Rica beat Haiti 1-0 at home in a World Cup qualifier on Friday, and played 72 minutes as they beat Panama 2-1 away on Tuesday.
Chuba Akpom, currently on loan at Hull, played 70 minutes as England U21s played out a goalless draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina last Thursday. He then came on as a substitute to score as they saw off Switzerland 3-1 on Monday night. Calum Chambers also played a full 90 minutes in both games at centre-back.
Laurent Koscielny played 90 minutes twice for France against Germany and England, while Olivier Giroud opened the scoring for France against Germany, although the match was overshadowed by the terrorist attacks outside the stadium and in the French capital.
Petr Cech was an unused substitute as Czech Republic thrashed Serbia 4-1, but played the full 90 minutes in a 3-1 defeat to Poland, while David Ospina played in goal as Colombia drew 1-1 in Chile and lost to 1-0 to Argentina.
Kieran Gibbs was an unused substitute in England’s defeat to Spain, but played the full 90 minutes in their 2-0 win over France on Tuesday.
ASTON VILLA
Brad Guzan played 90 minutes as USA beat St Vincent and the Grenadines 6-1 in a World Cup qualifier last Friday and was an unused substitute in a goalless draw away at Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday.
Ciaran Clark returns on a high after playing in both legs of Republic of Ireland’s playoff with Bosnia, helping his side keep a clean sheet in the 2-0 win in the return leg in Dublin to secure a spot at Euro 2016.
Jordan Ayew played in both legs and scored in the second game as Ghana beat Comoros 2-0 on aggregate in their second-round World Cup qualifier.
But it was a bad week for Jordan Amavi, who sustained a cruciate knee ligament injury in France U21s’ 1-0 win over Northern Ireland and has now been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Idrissa Gueye played 90 minutes twice as Senegal drew 2-2 away at Madagascar and then beat the same opponents 3-0 at home.
Carlos Sanchez was withdrawn after 56 minutes as Colombia drew 1-1 in Chile in a World Cup qualifier last Thursday, but he wasn’t involved in the 1-0 defeat to Argentina on Tuesday.
Rudy Gestede came off at halftime as Benin beat Burkina Faso 2-1 in the first leg of their second round World Cup qualifier last Thursday, but did not play as they went out on aggregate in the second leg.
BOURNEMOUTH
Adam Federici kept two clean sheets in Australia’s World Cup qualifying matches against Kyrgyzstan (3-0) and Bangladesh (4-0).
Harry Arter was an unused substitute in both legs of Republic of Ireland’s playoff win over Bosnia and Shaun MacDonald was an unused substitute as Wales lost 3-2 at home to Netherlands in a friendly last Friday.
Tokelo Rantie scored as South Africa beat Angola 4-1 over two legs, while Artur Boruc played for Poland in their 3-1 win over Czech Republic on Tuesday.
CHELSEA
Asmir Begovic played both legs of Bosnia’s Euro 2016 playoff defeat to Republic of Ireland.
Cesc Fabregas played 90 minutes in Spain’s 2-0 win over England last Friday, providing the pass for Mario Gaspar’s opener. Diego Costa played 64 minutes, while Pedro came on in the 76th minute and Cesar Azpilicueta played the final eight minutes in Alicante.
Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic both featured for Serbia as they lost 4-1 to the Czech Republic in a friendly in Ostrava on Friday night, with the latter later suggesting he may now quit international football.
Baba Rahman played both legs as Ghana prevailed 2-0 on aggregate over Comoros in their second round World Cup qualifier.
Jon Obi Mikel lasted 71 minutes as Nigeria played out a goalless draw against Swaziland in the first leg of their second round World Cup qualifier, and was an unused substitute in the second leg on Tuesday as they prevailed 2-0 on aggregate.
Eden Hazard played the whole game as Belgium beat Italy 3-1 in a friendly in Brussels on Friday night.
Gary Cahill came on for the final six minutes for England as they were beaten 2-0 by Spain on Friday, but played the full 90 minutes of the 2-0 win over France.
On Tuesday, Bertrand Traore scored the decisive goal in Burkina Faso’s 3-2 aggregate win over Benin.
Willian played 90 minutes and Oscar was an unused substitute as Brazil drew 1-1 away at Argentina in a World Cup qualifier on Friday. Willian then played 85 minutes as they beat Peru 3-0 on Tuesday, while Oscar came on with five minutes to go.
CRYSTAL PALACE
Adrian Mariappa played both games as Jamaica lost 2-0 at home to Panama in their World Cup qualifier on Saturday and beat Haiti 1-0 away on Tuesday.
Mile Jedinak sent Australia on their way to a 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kyrgyzstan with a 40th-minute penalty. He then scored their final goal in a 4-0 victory over Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Yannick Bolasie was on target twice in two legs as DR Congo beat Burundi 5-4 on aggregate in their second round World Cup qualifier.
Yohan Cabaye came on as a late sub for France in their 2-0 friendly win against Germany at the Stade de France, but started the game against England at Wembley.
Lee Chung-yong played the last 30 minutes for South Korea against Laos on Tuesday, but Pape Souare was not involved in either of Senegal’s two games with Madagascar.
Bakary Sako scored the decisive goal in Mali’s 3-2 aggregate World Cup qualifying win over Botswana.
Joe Ledley scored for Wales in a 3-2 friendly defeat to the Netherlands. Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey played the first 75 minutes.
EVERTON
Tim Howard was an unused substitute as USA beat St Vincent and the Grenadines 6-1 in a World Cup qualifier last Friday, and played 90 minutes in their goalless draw against Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday.
Brendan Galloway had to withdraw from the England U21 squad with a thigh strain, but the club are confident he will be available for Saturday’s clash against Aston Villa.
Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy played the full 90 minutes of both Republic of Ireland’s 1-1 draw in Bosnia and the 2-0 win in Dublin in the return leg. Darron Gibson was an unused substitute in both games, while Aiden McGeady came on as a substitute in the first leg.
Muhamed Besic came on at halftime for Bosnia at the Aviva Stadium on Monday.
Kevin Mirallas came on as a late substitute as Belgium beat Italy 3-1 in Brussels on Friday night. Romelu Lukaku played just over an hour.
Gerard Deulofeu had a very good week. He scored a hat-trick as he captained Spain U21s in a 5-0 win over Georgia and then scored another two against Croatia.
Ross Barkley started in both England’s defeat to Spain and the win over France, but John Stones only the started the second match.
Ramiro Funes Mori played 90 minutes twice as Argentina drew 1-1 at home to Brazil and won 1-0 in Colombia.
